Let’s get serious about fun.
Influenced by knowledge & training in somatic-bodywork, wild-craft, theatre, art, dance and singing, my mission is to nourish the minds, hearts, souls and bodies of the next generations, that they may be resilient, resourceful, know their worth, responsibility, ability to create joy; and develop their capacity for imaginative thinking, kindness & a dynamic relationship with life & non-human beings.
My collaborative company, Green Moves, was awarded a business grant in 2012 to run creative dance programmes in schools across Cornwall.
While at The Owl Barn Residency 2013 I collaborated with Rosalind Holgate-Smith to offer two half-term projects based on the ‘5 Skins’ of Hundertwasser; encouraging exploration of the children’s relationships with their local community & environment.
In 2015 I trained with Root Experience to create immersive theatre with children at Creative Solutions in Zanzibar & was promoted to Team Leader at Rovererto Summer School, Italy for exceptional coordination, communication, project planning & overall teaching skills.
These experiences are now drawn together in the formation of a MA Creative Education at Plymouth College of Arts, busy developing the 13 Skins project; combining research into effective communication with kids, eco-somatic practice, embodied social justice, poetry in education, radical learning approaches & permaculture perspectives.
